“Like most women, I enjoy viewing and purchasing jewelry. I always sought out after the most usual piece and often times after finding it and getting it home, I would do something to alter its’ original appearance. My favorite part of jewelry making is combining the past and the present, the old found piece from an antique shop or out of your grandmother’s box with clay beads, natural stones, glass and other objects. As I began my journey of a deeper understanding and spiritual connection within, I realized that working with beads somehow for me symbolized a new beginning or voyage into my past, present, and future. Art is truly an expression of one’s self and I hope that your interpretation of the piece I’ve created speaks to you as deeply as it does me.”
